EM + GPR Locating · For civil engineers & survey firms
EM + GPR utility locating for engineers & surveyors.
A design is only as good as the subsurface data under it. Designing a site, a road, or a servicing plan against incomplete or assumed utility information bakes in conflicts that surface — expensively — during construction. You need locatable utilities found, mapped, and quality-rated before the drawings are stamped.

We provide the survey-grade subsurface layer: dual-method EM + GPR location, depth estimation, CAD-ready utility mapping, and subsurface utility engineering to defined quality levels — designed-in accuracy your team can model, coordinate, and certify against rather than discover in the field.
What engineers & surveyors hit
- Designs built on incomplete or assumed utility data
- Conflicts discovered during construction, not design
- Non-conductive lines absent from EM-only records
- Depth uncertainty at critical crossings
- Liability for utility data that wasn't quality-rated
How we fit your workflow
- Dual-method location of all locatable utilities
- Depth estimation at crossings and design conflicts
- CAD / as-built deliverables that drop into your model
- SUE quality levels for designed-in confidence

ViewEngineers & Surveyors ask
Do you deliver data to SUE quality levels?
Yes — subsurface utility engineering classifies utility data by quality level (from records-based through surveyed designating to potholed, verified locations), and we deliver to the level your project and risk tolerance require, documented so it's defensible. Designing against quality-rated data instead of assumptions is what keeps utility conflicts out of construction — see our SUE service for the framework.
Will the deliverables drop into our CAD model?
That's how they're built — routes, depths, and attributes in DWG/DXF or your specified format, georeferenced to your control, so they import rather than need re-drawing. The locate data (EM traces, GPR confirmations, sonde points, depths) is captured to the accuracy the deliverable demands, from field-marking through survey-grade points for the model.
Why does dual-method matter for design data?
Because an EM-only utility record is missing every non-conductive line on the site — the plastic water and gas, the clay sewer, the concrete duct — which is precisely the data a servicing design can't afford to lack. GPR images those lines so the record is complete, not conductive-only. A design coordinated against half the utilities is a design with built-in surprises; dual-method location is how the record becomes whole.
