Infrared Thermography

BC's experts in thermal imaging leak detection. Our infrared technology reveals hidden moisture and water intrusion by detecting temperature differences invisible to the naked eye.

How Infrared Thermography Works

Infrared thermography detects thermal radiation emitted by all objects. When moisture is present in building materials, it changes the thermal characteristics of those materials - wet areas typically appear cooler due to evaporative cooling.

Our Level II certified thermographers use professional-grade thermal cameras to scan building surfaces, identifying temperature anomalies that indicate hidden moisture, water intrusion, or plumbing leaks. This technology is completely non-invasive and can survey large areas quickly.

Technology Capabilities

  • Detects temperature anomalies indicating moisture
  • Non-contact, non-invasive assessment
  • Identifies hidden leaks behind walls and ceilings
  • Locates insulation failures and thermal bridges
  • High-resolution thermal imaging cameras
  • Detailed thermal reports with temperature mapping
